[modern] 2000 XJR CD changer query

Hi…
Wonder if anyone else has had a problem with their changers not reading
home-recorded music CD’s? My recordings play fine in several other single
and changer car units as well as on my home CD players. One person suggested
changing to a different media.
Any thoughts?

Dick, I’ve heard similar stories before with home burned CD’s and apparently
it does come down to the physical characteristics of the media. Some players
can handle it better than others, and some types of media are better than
others. I seem to remember a conversation about the colour of the media
being significant, but I’m not sure - may just be a brand thing.

Supposedly no CD-RW type disk will work in an automotive CD player…different laser. I have not had any problems with the plain CD-R type.
