[modern] Does Jaguar Corporate read out list(s)?

Wayne,
I think that is a good question. I wonder if Jaguar Corporate even knows
about our list. I expect many of our listers have owned several Jaguar’s
over the years as I have. We probably do more to keep the spirit of these
beautiful cars alive and well then Corporate does and we ask for nothing in
return.

Dear Fellow Jaguar Addicts:

I have always wondered if someone within Jaguar Cars follows the
discussions of us long suffering (but proud and happy) owners of these
wonderful cars. If they do not, it would seem like a good thing to do
so that they might see what issues are important to owners of older
cars, and perhaps, get some insight into what we want or expect in
future models.

I (for one) would be interested to hear what people think about this.
What’s the group’s opinion?

Wayne,
I doubt it, there are too many lists, with to much mail.

Maybe some people who work there look at the web pages, but I doubt
anyone reads all the mail.

Its likely the most boring stuff imaginable to most people.

Most people just drive the cars and don’t care if there is a difference
between a black relay and a blue one (I did not find any), or
what oil filter is tops,(not sure yet) or long detailed mails about
how to adjust the door handles (hard) or fix blowers
(its the darlington)…

Future models?
What I want is a Jaguar with wood and leather, 300HP,
stunning styling, comfortable for 5 people, gets 40 MPG,
handling like a race car, a ride like a Rolls, and a price
of $10,000.00.

(just in case they listen)

Brett,

Most large corporations use web-based tools to ‘watch’ for instances of
their product name, model type, haunting issue, or any other character
string that can be entered as text into the tool. Through creative use of
Boolean operators, those results can be further refined to drive graphic
displays of how/what/when (and who) is talking about the product, and how
those comments vary over time.

I would hope that, if Jaguar is not performing that collection and analysis
themselves, that they follow the Ford model - which I understand from
‘like’ tool marketing teams, does.

The may not read our posts in their entirety, but you can be sure they
follow key words like F-Type, X-Type, S-Type, XJ6, VDP, BMW, etc. - and the
trends that occur.
