[modern] Good repair shops in the SF bay area for jags?

Due to my xj-s being hit by a red-light-runner, I need to locate a trustworthy shop to have it repaired (mainly just a new driver’s side door, maybe some minor other work), and also some of the upgrades that I have had sitting boxed up from GT Jaguar installed at the same time… I’d love to hear any recommendations that anyone has…

Thanks,

Marisa

Marisa,

I highly recommend Joe’s European in Walnut Creek. I live in the East
Bay and was referred to this shop by word of mouth and found them to
be very knowledgeable about Jags and extremely cost-effective. Please(!)
avoid the dealership if you have any choice. I have a few nightmares
I’ve learned from that are better left off of this list…

The contact info is:

Joe’s European
2830 North Main St.
Walnut Creek, CA 94596
(925) 938-0110

Best of luck. If you get other referrals, please forward them to me for
future reference. You never know…

Great, thanks! I wasn’t looking forward to going to the dealership as in the past (other manufacturers) I’ve found them to be over priced and reticent to install any performance parts or modify the cars away from the standard… But I’m also wary of someone else who doesn’t have a lot of experience or thinks that because it’s a jag/bmw/mercedes it’s an excuse to charge more even if the parts in question cost no more than if a chevy or tinfoil Japanese car… I’ll give them a call and see if they can give me a rough estimate and how they feel about the custom work…
