Some of my Jags have come from Houston - 100% of them had bad thermostats - stuck open. I guess it doesn’t get cold enough there to worry about them … I would certainly change it out before I would suspect the gauge or sender …
I’m sure that was a miserable drive back - it’s pretty raw here and I’m sure most of your route was the same way. Even the Finns would be getting out the long sleeves!
