[modern] Injector Cleaning and Flow Testing Offer

Fellow Modern List Subscribers,

I now own a New Age injector flow bench along with the ultrasonic
tank. While it does not have all the bells and whistles, it works nicely

as I have been using it for a month or so. I also stock caps, filter
baskets,
o-rings and such required in flow testing, cleaning and refurbishing
port
fuel injectors. Here’s my offer:

I will flow test your injectors before and after removing the filter
baskets,
the small 5-10 micron screens in the inlets, clean the outside,
ultrasonic
them (basically back flushes the olefins and waxes out while NOT
scratching
the pintle seat which most solvents do), install new o-rings top and
bottom,
replace caps (if used) and filter baskets, and reflow to ensure a
matched set. I will
also record the before and after readings as well as the spray pattern
and, of
course, pressure test them for leaks.

The price: $5 per injector (includes return shipping for continental
USA)
Payment: personal or business check made out to me - NOT the shop
(sorry, no credit cards)

I hope that is fair - it’s much cheaper than you’ll find anywhere to my
knowledge
where new parts are included and performed by someone who cares about
Jags.
Most places are $15-25 per injector. I only charge what I need to
recover
the filters, o-rings and chemicals ($$) used during the process to be
honest. I’m
certainly not trying to make any money off the list. For those outside
the US,
please include needed shipping funds for return. While this process may
not be
able to fix every injector, it is very useful and can make a big
difference in
idle, cylinder balance, and fuel economy.

Turn around time will probably be only a day or two. If you are
in a big hurry maybe same day, if you are not please advise as I am
a flatrate tech and sometimes time is very short. Hopefully
a few of you have some unused cores laying around that would help
when unsaveble injectors are found on member’s vehicles. I hope this
is an acceptable offer to make on this list.

Hi Randy,
