Five new lists have been created to replace the current Modern List, which
will be discontinued soon. They are:
xj40@jag-lovers.org includes XJ6 (UK '86-'94, US '88-'94)
XJ12 '92-'94
x300@jag-lovers.org includes XJ6 (UK '94-'97, US '95-'97)
XJR '95-'97
XJ12 '95-'96
XJ8 (UK '97+, US '98+)
XJR (UK '97+, US '98+)
xk8@jag-lovers.org includes all XK8 and XKR
s-type@jag-lovers.org includes S-type (UK '99+, US '00+)
x-type@jag-lovers.org includes X-type (UK '01+, US '02+)
Please use our automated subscription utility to subscribe to the new lists.
Be sure that your e-mail is set up so that you are sending mail using the
same address that you want to use for your subscription – otherwise
majordomo will not process your subscription. Remember, the subscription
utility is a computer! If you do not follow the directions carefully it will
cause a lot of frustration for you and me and our majordomo admin!
Here is a summary of how to subscribe:
Go to
enter your address, click go
check (click on the box) of the lists you wish to join, click apply.
You’ll receive an e-mail that has a string of “words” that will look like
auth 1234567 subscribe x300 youremailaddress@yourisp.com
copy and paste these 5 “words” into the BODY of a new e-mail and send it to
majordomo@jag-lovers.org
That’s it, you’re done. You’ll know everything worked out all right when
your receive a message welcoming you to the list.
Of course I will be available to help people who are having trouble with
this process. I can’t change your subscription for you, but I can try to
help if you get
stuck.
I will continue to be listadmin for four of the new lists. Pascal Gademer
will be listadmin for the new xk8@ list.
