[modern] Turning off auto messages from your work (was AOL 6.0)

Good evening JagLuvers

With as much careful and helpful thought as goes into most email replies from
the List, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem to remember that many folks
who are at work and posting to the List (hmmm  can also for that one email
they send turn off their ā€œconfidentialā€ and ā€œprivacyā€ messages. (If you
need help, ask me offlist or talk to your System Admin at work). That adds a
lot to the archive space? and also to scrolling through a message especially
in Digest Mode! We could do without that too, eh?

(no offense… I just wanted to say hi to everyone anyway!)

I really hate HTML for most communication. There is just no need for
all of the bells and whistles in a standard message.

The reason for not accepting it on the list is because it fills up the
archives with junk. It’s not that it can’t be handled, it’s just that
the decision was carefully made not to deal with it. >>
