Motor size from the engine no

I have just bought a 2002 X type, but have no details re the engine size . Licnse papers show the engine no. to be 257610430YC , and vin no. is SAJAH52N12YC87604 . I have never had a jag before, and just joined the forum.
Can anyone please help me with the motor size ? Thanks, Gus, Western Australia.

A Main Dealer may be able to tell you the answer if you can’t work it out from this link. There were/are a number of options avaiable and the engine covers may also be marked to give a clue.

Thanks, Neil. I havent had any success yet. Did find a ref to wheel spoke
no.s re engine size, for 5 and 10 spokes, but mine has 7. May be origional
2 litre motor.I’ll keep looking around. Previous owner is ignorant, and
licence papers no longer have engine capacity.
