Moving forward again

I can’t keep up with Jim, but today feels like a step forward. The front section of the body is bolted back on, as are the new sills. And yes, the sills are centred on their mounts with the outer edges exactly 53¼" apart! I’ve put the old floorboards on just as a rough check and the old mounting holes in them all align nicely with those in the old, and new, metal.

Ho, boy. If that doesn’t get the juices flowing, you’re dead.

BTW, I’ve done 2 MGAs like this. It’s a LOT of work, but very rewarding.

I know - I’ve several under my belt already: 4 or 5 Healeys (can’t remember the exact number), 4 GT6s, 2 TR4As, an Interceptor, Mini, Mustang, Cobra (tricky - lots of aluminium), etc. This, however, is my first Jag. And the first project with wooden doors, which I hate.

Oh, hell, if you’ve survived that many big Healeys…

:grimacing:

What a wonderful work environment.
I cannot even dream…

Thanks for sharing and be careful.
Look forward to future posts.
All the best

Ah, I can tell you must be familiar with them, too!
