Hello Folks,
I am restoring an XK 140 coupe and this part came in a box with the car. I am not familiar with it. Is it perhaps some sort of booster for the brake system? It could be totally unrelated to a Jag.!

I just restored a XK140 Automatic.
Not a Jaguar part, if you ask me.
Never seen anything like it.

Fichtel & Sachs AG Saxomat comes up as a brand of automatic clutch on German cars.
Looks VERRRRYmuch like a set-up out of a DKW.
Also, essentially the same device used on VWs with the “Automatic Gearshift.”

This is fascinating! This car is an automatic so I guess that leads to the possibility that this part just ended up in one of the 'baskets" this car came in. It came from a barn full of all kinds of old cars of all sorts mostly in some form of disassembly.
