Need help with seatbelts

I took delivery of my 1969 etype 2+2, to my surprise somebody had removed the front seat belts, they were in a box in the back seat. I seem to be missing what to do with the 2 j hooks on one end. I might be missing an eyelet or do these bolt in. I have the kangol belts. I might replace them with some with detractors, but for now Id just like to drive others in my car. I saw one pic with an eyelet on the internet, but don’t see them in the parts diagram.

Any racing supply house should have the rings: I bet someone here has a set.

I think i have an extra set. I’ll look tomorrow and you can have them.

Original seat belts are well past their best before date, though they may look fine. I’ve kept my originals in The Box and have replaced them with new. At least one of the regulars stocks original spec Britax seatbelts for around $200 the pair. Problem solved.

Another alternative is to have a qualified company replace the webbing. That way you retain the originality of the hardware.

Throw the whole lot in the bin and buy something that conforms with the safety standards wherever you live.

Not necessary: as JW says, a properly rewebbed set of belts is perfectly safe, and the hardware has no expiration date, functionally.

I had a local parachute rigger reweb my racing belts, when they expired. At the time, it was way less expensive than buying whole new sets.

This should give you an idea of how they are intended to be mounted. This photo must be a similar belt because of the cotter pin which is not part of the E-Type set up.
