Need tool to remove S2 earless wire wheel nuts

I have owned many different Jaguar cars over the years but I have never until now had to deal with these S2 wire wheel retaining nuts that don’t have the ears sticking out to use a thor hammer on. So as a result I don’t have one of the tools that slips over the nut to provide the ears to hammer against. Does anyone here have a spare?

I tried searching on ebay but no luck there.

Thanks for the pointers and part number Paul and John. I searched on “E-Type wire wheel tool” on evil-bay but that listing did not mention “E-Type” in the title.

British wire wheels has them for 49.99

I have one you can have for shipping cost. Only you cannot be in a hurry as its at my winter residence in Florida. Im at our illinois farm til November…

steve, did you post the same Q? on the other jag forum? >>> you can buy these tools on amazon etc, search for> 8 Sided Hex / Octagon Wrench for Knock Off Wire Wheels…amazon have them

Sure that sounds fine. I thank you sir. I am not in a huge hurry anyway as a friend has temporarily loaned me his S2 spinner tool.

Steve

You can PM an address to me now so i don’t forget. The tool if my memory is correct has two ears and fits over the nuts ,you still use a hammer but could fit a long lever if you prefer. Came with my car in one of the boxes of parts. I would never fit those nuts so have no use for it ever.

If you tool has two ears it isn’t the one for the “federal” spinners, which has 3 “ears”. It may be the one for the stubby two eared spinners for the German marketplace.

Nor are they “Octagonal Safety Knock-offs”, not sure what’s going on there.

You mean these? I’d guess those are pretty rare.

Yes. As you say, they are likely rare as they were specific to Germany. I mentioned them as “two ears” was mentioned by @Mr_Phelps. These are the only two-eared spinners I’m aware of, other than the regular long-eared variety. It sounds like the OP needs the tool for the regular federal S2 spinner, so apologies for the diversion…

Are you sure it is not tucked in the bag with your jack?

Looks like you need a new left tire before putting it on the road. It looks a little low.
