Nice alternator. What does the engine look like?
You should join one of the upstate JCNA affiliates. At least visit one of their events to meet other owners in your area:
When you type a reply, above the text you are typing should be a tool bar. Just right of center on the tool bar (at least on mine) is a button that is a line with an arrow pointing up. Click on that, then click the “browse” button to select the photo(s) you want to upload.
Edit: I just learned that there is a “drag and drop” feature. I’ve never noticed that in all the time I’ve been on the forum! That’s a lot easier if working from a computer. (vs. phone or tablet) Doing a test photo now . . .
Dave A— thanks so much. I have a few days off in July and would be great if you could take a look— I won’t have it officially for couple weeks— in Cazenovia— I’ll get back to you to see what date in July might work—
I’ll try that

Just have patience or post less pictures😀
That’s why there’s all that scribble under your first picture👍🏾
Yep…. Patience needed
Just edit your post, and wait for all to download , then hit Snd.
Northumberland Engineering in Southampton on Long Island is a great shop for Jaguars. Anthony and John Dutton do great work.
And, yes, welcome! You have found a great place. I too have a 67 FHC.

Welcome Mary
Like the picture…… noticed the patented undercar drip catcher…… did they throw that in?
Welcome Mary!
Will help as much as I can, had a 69 E type , for many years,

That drip catcher is probably telling me something??
Thank you for the reference! I will have to proceed slowly and on a budget but I do want to do it right.
Yes, proceeding slowly is fine. I bought my largely disassembled car out in California in 2014 and hauled it back to my home in Austin and gradually put it back together. I did most of the work on it myself with the help of others, both in person and via this forum. I had the engine rebuilt at Classic Jaguar (not inexpensive and it maybe it was not absolutely necessary, but it’s what I wanted to do at the time) and had it taken down to bare metal and painted by a local ex Classic Jaguar guy. If it had had original paint I would have left it alone, but it had been repainted in the 80s and had lots of dents and dings. I could have ignored those if it had original paint, a very nice thing to have unless there is extensive rust that requires repair. I retired in 2014 so the car is my hobby and enjoying driving it on tours is one of my annual vacations.
Northumberland Engineering has many high end clients on Long Island and Tony and John sometimes go to Pebble Beach and other major events. Explaining your situation to any shop is very important so do your best to find a good one you can trust. This forum is a good place to find recommendations. You won’t find any public badmouthing here due to forum rules. The people here have seen the good and bad over the years.

Amazing so many of you guys have the skill and patience to rebuild and restore these beautiful cars. I’m honored to get such experienced advice, I’ll never be able to do much myself but so appreciate the referrals to legit businesses.
Very sexy, what are we looking at ? Turbo Charged 3.8 ? Airbox a stock item or …?
Well thank you. Nice to see someone with an open mind! It’s stock 3.0, backdated heater system and an aftermarket air intake. The stock one is rather boring.
Sad to say, Only air-cooled I have left is my 1 cyl tractor and the 1986 TL Cabrio. Where did you acquire the airbox ?

I bought it from these guys. It’s very nicely made.
Had it been for an E Type, it’d have been $2800!
