Yep agree but when there are score marks I would still be inclined to use the stone hone.

your assessment was correct, the ball hone did not take out the corrosion part off #2. Do you think a stone hone might still clear this up or will that take to much material off? Considering budget and the intended use as a spare engine, Iād rather not bore and new piston it. New rings are on order.

Looks like you are almost there, if you have access to a stone hone then i would be inclined to just hit no 2 but leave the others.
