New Starter Motor

I went down this rabbit hole a few months ago. I have a 4.2 starter…anyone need one? My car is a 3.8 converted to the all-synchro box and hence the flywheel and bell housing are like a 4.2 car. I haven’t started the engine yet, so I cannot give a complete report. The geared starter certainly does sound different. But then it shouldn’t be turning more than a second if the engine is tuned properly. I can attest to how easy the geared starter was to install. Here’s the link to that comprehensive discussion. The correct p/n for your car is listed near the end.
