Contrary to popular belief, I don’t actually read every single post which appears on JL. If people would use the flag function then this would bring the post to the attention of all three of the moderators.
In the case of Longstone I have now sent that user a private message asking him to move his advertising to the classified section. I’m ok with Longstone talking in general about tires, and even saying “See my ad in the classified, or send me PM”.
Again, George wasn’t suspended for posting an ad about the book - anyone who thinks otherwise is mistaken. It was me that suspended him, so I know for certain.
To anyone who isn’t willing to trust me to be honest about why I do, or do not, do something: you’d best find yourself another witch to hunt. If you’re right, and I am as arbitrary and biased as you think, then obviously you’ve be better off somewhere where I am not a moderator.
