Off Topic, frustrating electrical problems. Had to vent

As part of my training our AVT class “took a ride” in a low pressure chamber that simulated up to 60,000 feet of altitude. It held about a dozen gas filled sailors at a time. At about 35,000 feet the place sounded like the audio track to Blazing Saddles. Fun experience, just like the movies. Take off your O2 mask and write from 100 backwards. About 90 was as far as most got.

You say that like it’s a bad thing…

Someday, I might fly again: with the fustercluck it has become, I can’t see it happening soon.

I long ago chose to about the Greyhounds-of-the-sky, unless I had no choice but to fly

When would this “mild weather” occur?

I’ve never been in a climate more unpleasant than in Houston.

I moved to a new town a few years ago and, for various reasons, haven’t really done any exploring of the surrounding countryside.

Hold that thought ^^^^^

As it so happens my life looks a lot less busy this year. And I have recently acquired a TR6…a car which is unsuited to freeways and interstates.

Are ya pickin’ up what I’m layin’ down here ?

It’s gonna be a fun year !
