Oil filter, oil capacity, gaskets

Absolutely, it’s catching the baffle, I just helped a friend with his car and I was amazed that it filled my large pan till I saw his dipstick. It looked just like yours and he kept putting oil in. I swear he had 14 quarts in it.

Whilst I still believe that the dipstick is bent and hitting the baffle, I may be irrational to say that necessarily causes a low reading. I think the geometry could actually result in the opposite happening.

Hi Liam,
As I mentioned above, it gave an erroneously low reading, at any rate when he straightens it he can report back.

i’m on it tonite!

will keep you posted

From the circular stop down your dipstick should be straight, it should be 90 degrees to the circular stop. and both halves should be against each other.

straightened the stick and it drops right in with zero resistance, pull it out and it is right on FULL!
