Any advice on a new pump? Mine is worn.

Again, SNG is likely your best bet: I know there was some difference in pumps, over the years, but that knowledge has flown with the angels…
They do two after market pumps .
One at £50 and one at £123 , anyone tried them ?
There are 3 basic designs, the XK120 gear pump, the small suction tube, standard flow gearotor 3.4 and 3.8 pump and the high flow, larger suction tube gearotor variety found on the 4.2L cars. The XK120 gear pump only fits the early blocks and alloy sumps. The 4.2 pump can be used on 3.4 and 3.8 engines
Later MK11s also fitted the larger pump/pickup pipe. The larger pump being more numerous
and recent might account for the price diff unless one is OEM and the other repro.
In the context of what your doing fabbing a pickup pipe using a late MK11 / XJ pipe
should not present a prob.
