[OT] Help with a difficult connector on a Jeep!

I need to take the starter out of my daughter’s and it has a connector that locks onto the starter solenoid that I am unable to unlock.
Does anyone recognize it and know how to unlock it?? I have tried pushing the little button on the right with no success.

The button might be more of a molded in bump than a button. You might have to gently pry up on the piece around the bump to allow the bump to release. I hate these things honestly. I totally boogered one on my VW trying to get it apart the first time.

OK, I will inspect it again carefully before prying so I don’t destroy it!!

Perhaps try pushing in (or pulling out) on this?

Just a guess. I’m with Erica- I hate most of these new electrical connector designs.

Quite often on Jeep connectors you’ll find a “key”, usually a contrasting color, that has to be removed before the locking tabs will release. I pitch them.
