Outside mirrors

Does anybody know how to get inside the knobs you regulate the outside mirrors on a 83- XJS 5,3.
I have no contact between ingoing current and outgoing current.
It is sealed with 3 things which looks like small screws
but they are not screws looks like some kind of rivets.

I tried taking mine apart to clean, by drilling out those rivets and replacing with screws, but they’re too easy to destroy, which is what happened. So I purchased a used unit in decent shape.

Also found, it’s good to use the switches once in a while! Lack of use seems to cause corrosion.

Yes, I have managed to repair mine.
Fiddly but very straight forward.

I tried that repair from the book, ended up destroying them. (Butterfingers)
