Taking the heater box out and overhauling, it seems a shame to junk it and replace. I am reworking it slowly, but now need to get the squirrel cage fan off the motor shaft. Removed the central nut no problem, but the pinch coupling refuses to budge. Any ideas?

Yes, as Paul stated let us know what model you have and if possible post a picture of the area where the pinch bolt is. I’ve restored a few Saloon heaters although it’s been awhile so a picture may jog my memory.
