Panels, I need panels

I understand that SC Parts (England) and Limora (Germany?) are part of the same outfit. Their web pages are identical except for the prices noted in pounds and Euros.

Has anyone dealt with them for body panels? I’m in need of the front lower front fenders (bumper area), the chin and possibly the left door skin, '53 OTS.

I send an email to Limora 5 days ago and haven’t heard a word.

I’ve also sent an email to NSF in Portugal, no reply yet.

Is there anyplace else I can look that does a decent job?

Try Leaping Cats in Coventry. They have fixed prices for panels for XK120/140/150.

SNG Barratt whilst they don’t make the items they are good to deal with and reliable.
Be wary of stuff out of LA

Or James Lawrance in UK. He makes them and has the right patterns…

PS. Where are the fenders on the XK?..

James Lawrance gets my vote, too… I think Bill Lawrance has retired now.

Fenders = wings = mud guards.
What are they called in Polish?

I know - just teasing…

Polish is relatively poor and has only mudguard equivalent - “błotnik”, derived from mud.

You got me thinking weather they were called the same from the beginning, so I had to check some newspapers from 1930ies. Yes they were…

Anyway, interestingly, the newspaper used have quite a few covers from the US:

Winter in Kansas City, February 1930:

New Newport and Norfolk bridge, 1930:

Vision of New York in 1980 printed in 1930:

I would very strongly recommend A1XKs in Hinckley, UK. Martin makes everything to order - the quality is excellent and the price surprising. As you might surmise from the name, he only does XK panelwork.
