Power seat removal

Good Day,

Does anyone know how to remove a power seat in a 2006 XKR when the motor will not move the seat forward and backward at all. The motor is getting power so it’s not a fuse problem. Is there a way to make the seat “freewheel”?

Easiest way is to swap the seat modules over and try that. I don’t believe there is a way to manually move it.

Thanks Jim, are the seat modules under the seat?

Feel under the front of the seat base and you’ll find them. 10 mm spanner if I recall correctly. Lower it, disconnect it and then swap over.
It’s also worth having a look inside to make sure there is no obvious damage. It is a known fault of tracks burning out but they can be repaired with a bridging wire.
