Power steering oil

I have been noticing power oil on the floor.
Over the weekend I degreased the area to check the point of exit.
A thorough inspection showed no signs of leaking from any point, and the rubbers were all OK.
I noticed however that oil was actually coming out of the high pressure hose and as this was only 6 months old I would have been suprised to have to yet again replace it.
After ruling out the HPH I could see another stream of oil coming out of a hose attached to the engine.
Armed with a light I could see oil coming out of this pipe( which comes from the reservoir)
I was able to tighten this by about 5 turns, but noticed that it attaches to a plastic type fitting near the engine.
The question is … Is this fitting supposed to be able to screw, is it a part that could become loose or is it a part that has split and needs to be replaced.
If it needs to be replaced I will needed to order one before I completly stuff up the connection, as it is only just leaking.
Could this part be the input to the power steering pump as the oil does not appear to be under pressure.

My car is different but maybe similar to yours. On mine the Hydraulic
pipe has a “Y” connection. This does spin (but doesn’t leak).

You may want to check the the fluid is not following the pipe down from
somewhere else.

I had my pipes replaced by local rubber hose shop. It cost a lot less
than dealers.
