Worcestaer are very good , But other places will depend on which

Alan Gibbins, Spares Secretary of the SS Register of the Jaguar
Drivers’ Club provided a range of engine parts for the Mark V.
Also, setting up an eBay search string and checking it regularly
can be useful.

As an aside, getting a factory Spare Parts Catalogue for Jaguar
Mark V Models, either a print copy or the official CD version, can
be helpful since many parts offered as Mark V parts may not be
correctly identified by online sellers and there were variations
in parts used during the model production run.–

There’s Cordell Newby at www.westernjaguar.com
Wally Vorlaufer in South Africa www.vorcomp.co.za

If you can recognize them, some parts were used on other
more widely supported cars such as XK120, Mark VII, MGTC,
TR2 and AH. Some parts are common industry items.

I have found Mark V parts at these:
www.mossmotors.com for carb parts see MGTC catalogue, for
front suspension, gearbox and electrical parts see XK120.
www.xks.com for electrical, front suspension and steering
parts same as XK120

www.mcmaster.com for timing chain, oil filter seals
www.metricmcc.com for BSF and BSPP threaded nuts, screws,
drain plugs
www.motionindustries.com for water pump bearings, steering
box seal–
XK120 FHC, Mark V saloon, XJ12L Series II, S-Type 3.0

Hi Chrissi,

Well, like Rob wrote, cross referencing is key, I once
compiled and shared an excel spreadsheet, but as I truly
suck regarding Excel skills, someone else was going to
make it a bit better. I have personally since then moved
all my parts to a database (FileMaker) to make it easier
for me to find them.

SNG Barratt has nowadays a catalogue for MKIV and MKV’s
and you can browse them online, although not that many
parts are available. I ordered a bunch of 1820 (door check
strap buffer) got them 10 months later, but had to return
them as they were wrong size (both thickness and diameter
were unuseable) but this is not complaining, that happens
with all vendors, just giving you an example. The funnyt
bit was that those were all in single bags saying ‘‘Made in
Australia’’ they made a long trip for nothing. :o

Anyways as you are in Germany, service, shipping etc.
should not be a problem for you with the SNGB Dutch/German
office / outlet. No affiliations of course, just glad to
see that they try to serve also us pushrod enthusiasts.

The suggested UK sources are nice and very helpful and
have good quality parts.

A week ago I got a MKV DHC loop pull from Simon at
Stoneleigh…but only one, I need two! :)))

Cheers,
