Hello
Looking for parts such as the rubber gaiters, rubbing plates,
& half moon sliders to rebuild my trunnion boxes.
Can anyone recommend a stockist who can supply these parts?

Alan Gibbins has the rubber gaiters and excellent qulity
The lates are fairly easy to make ,just part themff a piece of
round , 1 1/2’’ dia from memory and get them heat treated
The bronze trunnions are made from Phosphor bronze like wise 1
1/2 ‘’ dia parted off.
THat gives you 2 joined together , Look for someone with a
horizontal mill to cut in half to get the flat surface then
mill down to a neat sliding fit.
Being a lazy cheapskate I found round oil impregnated nylon
round and made them out of that. Much cheaper to buy, self
lubricating and they told me it had good compression strength.
I’ll have to wait tillit’s o the road fora while to confirm
that–
