Production methods

Here’s something fun. Its Morris in 1939 and the beginnings of unibody, but the production methods are mostly similar to our all-steel saloons.

Indeed , very much like the all steel SS saloons in construction
. Importantly I have learnt that one can be a bald head old geezer, and waffle on about making motor cars to young ladies and they will still express interest in what you are saying. Perhaps even flutter eyes at one.
Personally I have never had as much success with that as he seems to have. Perhaps I need a pipe.

I don’t know if it was the way the pipe is waved about, maybe it works if you don’t actually light it. He just bought the car for her. And she’s his daughter.
Either that, or she’s an actress paid to emote and read lines.
But I thought the clip of the guy lead loading a seam was pretty good.

Here’s another one on Morris engines, somewhat akin to the Standard sidevalves in SS1 & 2. Watch for the babbitt bearings in con rods.
