Before I put this on eBay for sale, I wanted to confirm what vintage engine it came off of: if memory serves, this came off of a 140/150/early E, due to the end milled clearance dimples for the holddown nuts. The casting number is C7185.

C.7185 is the Right Hand (Inlet) side cam cover for later XK120 from August 1952 built (from W5653 onwards), all XK140 (with standard A-type head), and early XK150 up to May 1959 built (to 832087/836232/838271 LHD and same age RHD) and all same age Mark VII, VIII, IX saloons, and same age 2.4/3.4 litre Saloons)
