Question on Operation Of Electronic Speedo

I have an electronic speedo, out of a S3 XJ6, and the transducer in the BW66 tranny.

I do not fully grok the operation enough to wire it up (it’s in my Jeep hot rod): does the transducer work like the tach gen on a S1 type? if not, where does power get hooked into the system?

I have the small sub harness that connects to the speedo, and the two wires that emanate from the transducer.

If it has a multiplug on it you only need to worry about the three wires connected by eyelets to the studs on the back. Black goes to ground, Green goes to fused power and green transducer and yellow goes to transducer yellow. Spin the transducer drive ‘cable’ in a drill to test.
