Hi Andrew (assume that’s your name?)

This is a slow-traffic forum, albeit on a high-speed subject, hence
you haven’t had any replies. But really, unless you know of
something local to Bangalore (which people here are very unlikely
to know about) you will have to give more information about which
country you are prepared to visit for your schooling. There are
motorcycle racing schools associated with many European or North
American tracks, so finding one is not the issue - your challenge
is deciding which one fits in with your travel possibilities and
timings. For instance I wouldn’t book for a Scottish or Canadian
school in Winter…

A school is a great idea as it gives you track time in advance of
actually racing in an event. No matter how good you are on the
road, it is a whole different world out on the track where your
only focus is lines, gearing/revs and tyre adhesion. The later in
particular will amaze you if you have only ridden on the street.
Better to get started on recalibrating your lean angles and line
selection in a school and/or track day environment than in the
middle of a screaming pack of noise, accelerating towards a crowded
first corner.

Schools are also good because obviously you get realistic skills
assessment from instructors, as well as use of a bike and riding
gear if you can’t bring your own. Be sure to ride at your own pace
regardless of what the instructors, marshalls or other participants
do. Don’t go beyond your limits.

Last time I was on a track day was in an advanced group at Oulton
Park and the travelling marshal warned us not to overtake him on
the first couple of laps. He promptly fell off his track-adapted
CBR600 at the first left-hander. One time before that I was waiting
at the pit exit to go out for practice on a track I’d never raced
before. I asked the guy next to me if he knew the track and he said
sure and offered to show me the lines for a lap or two of practice.
He fell off in front of me at the first corner…

Do your own thing and enjoy.
