[racing] performance/adjustable dampers for X300

Dear All,

I did a track day at Oulton Park (UK) in my 95 XJR
yesterday. It was great but highlighted the need for new
dampers (170k miles and 18 years). Which dampers would you
guys recomend for ocasional track use? I see GAZ do
adjustables for a good price, but only list for the XJ40.
The front are definately the same but I think the rears may
be different on the X300, is that the case?

Hi John,
Have you considered the German spec XJR dampers. There aren’t
adjustable, but they are stiffer than the UK spec dampers. I
have a set in the garage for my own car, but haven’t got round
to fitting them yet myself.–
