Yes, I see now what you are talking about. The oil-to-coolant exchange used on the E’s (and used on an Audi I used to own) not only cools hot oil but warms up cold oil, allowing it to flow more efficiently. Didn’t know Jaguar ever did this.

Yes, but for the Transmission fluid.
Neat and not that complicated.

The 6 cyl cars with transmission cooler have the same tube, the earlier version is neater and has a drain.
