Not been on here for a long time but just started work on the body of my 240 / Mk2 3.4,
I am converting from slim to fat bumpers and need to know the height of the side recess as I have to remake the lower valance, from the slim bumper one I removed, I make it about 5 1/2" top to bottom from pictures but don’t want to get welding without being sure, this is behind the rear wheel,
also does anyone have a spare rear spring as I have found one broken bottom leaf, I am in the UK near Epping Essex,

Jaguar just made a panel to cover over big bumper recess , drill out pop rivets , cut down red line !
yes and no, I have already cut the slim bumper valance off, through the lead, the rivets were all corroded but if you look at the picture of the green rear you can see a shallow valance and tapering side pieces going up to the red line, I can modify the slim bumper valance but need to confirm the depth of the recess just behind the red line, Pat
