Does anyone know if a Ford window regulator will work on the left rear door of my 04 X Type? If so, which model and year is the best? I am told by my mechanic that from 01 to 08, the Jag regulators were interchangeable but were steadily improved and the 08 ones are most desirable. I would like to find a cheap source as very few X Types end up in the wreckers around here.
Hi Grahame. I just checked ebay and there were at least 3 used ones available. I also noticed a bunch of listing for repair clips which might be a possibility if yours has a broken clip as the problem. I went through this broken regulator problem with my s type and it shared the part with the Lincoln ls. So lots of aftermarket ones for that model.
