Reconditioning the connecting rods

Hello all,

The machine shop that just fitted flanged liners in my 1975 block is asking me if I want to have the “rods reconditioned”…

I have no idea what to respond :slight_smile:

The engine only has about 50k total.

How should I go about elaborating and answer?

Here’s what that typically entails. Ask them what they do? IMO, if you are going through all the expense of a rebuild you should do this.
