Hi All…XK150 fhc…my rear screen rubber seal is old cracked and leaking water to the inside…have you replaced one…iv done it on other cars…seal on screen…thin rope around seal…held in place from outside…and string pulled from inside to get the seal in place…does this method work on the 150…what method worked for you…im in a fairly tight wprkspace/garage…car isnt drivable…so need to diy…thanks…Steve

Hi All…just bumping this up…also whose seal have you used…thanks…Steve

I worked for me fine on my 140 . It was easy compared to the front screen .

Hi Jim…thanks for the reply…i was after info on the method used…fitted from inside or outside?.. seal fitted to glass then string pulled in? or seal fitted to car and glass eased into it…thanks…Steve

Rubber on the glass fitted from outside the car with string and some wooden wedges to help it in places

Cheers Jim…much appreciated…Steve

Hi Jim…did you use sealant on the seal…just where the screen fits in the seal or where if fits to body…cheers…Steve

I didn’t use any and I wouldn’t use any till it is all in as it goes everywhere , you don’t want it on the headlining . I used butyl based on the front screen, it’s non setting .
