Question- can someone confirm that I can use a replacement exterior door handle from a 90-94 XJ6 for my 96 XJS knowing I will have to swap key cylinder? They all look identical to me.
I just finished replacing my rear brakes and was going for a test ride when I discovered my drivers window would not go all the way up. I removed the door panel and cleaned and lubricated all of the tracks and wheels. All good, so I decided to clean and lube the passenger side. Went to open the door and the exterior door handle broke! It appears the lever arm on the backside of the handle gave way. See photo of broken piece.
