I’m putting the boot lid back on. I didn’t take good enough notes on its removal. Does anyone know if it’s held together on the inside of the lid using a predrilled plate or nuts?
Ok, upon a closer look in the “painted parts” area of my shop, I found the plates.
Problem solved!

I’m back, after being off line for a week dealing with computer problems.
To be perfectly authentic original, those tapped hinge mounting plates were not painted at all! 
I couldn’t bring myself to reinstall them unpainted as well.
Not sure who would see them but after I sand blasted them clean, I just couldn’t see any reason to not try to keep that from happening in the next 72 years.
