Regarding the conduit casing and how it attaches will I need to re-torque the two head bolt nuts?

I would echo David Barnes’ comment. If you have the original engine fitted to your '69 it will be a “long stud” block (search the archives if you’re not familiar with this term). Bad things of varying degrees of badness can happen if you try to loosen the head stud acorn nuts. Some can be extremely bad - e.g. snapped head stud. SII Head Stud Broken

I was just coming to the end of my Triple SU conversion and all was going well. As the coolant was drained, I decided to go ahead and replace the distributor with a vacuum advance one and push on HT leads. While removing the old HT leads I loosed the head bolts to remove the HT lead sleeve bracket and found one loose, and it just spun. I pulled the bolt and it moved up a couple of inches so I believe I have a broken head stud. I managed to remove the head bolt by clamping the stud shaft with loc…

For some things, this risk is worth taking. To pretty up your HT cables, I don’t think so. At least that was my thinking, so I didn’t bother with the conduit. YMMV.
