Replacing Ignition Plug Wires

I would echo David Barnes’ comment. If you have the original engine fitted to your '69 it will be a “long stud” block (search the archives if you’re not familiar with this term). Bad things of varying degrees of badness can happen if you try to loosen the head stud acorn nuts. Some can be extremely bad - e.g. snapped head stud. Read this recent thread for some idea of what can happen…

For some things, this risk is worth taking. To pretty up your HT cables, I don’t think so. At least that was my thinking, so I didn’t bother with the conduit. YMMV.
