RF drive shaft stuck

Hello,

I was visiting my local Jag mechanic, and he was stumped with a stuck FR drive shaft that will not come out.

If anyone has any ideas, I’m sure the mechanic, and the car owner would be happy.

The RIGHT axle link shaft should NOT be removed until the retaining clip on the end is removed. (after the transfer case is removed)

This an excerpt from page 14 of the TSB XT307-S941.

CAUTION: THE TRANSFER CASE LINK SHAFT SHOULD ONLY BE EXTRACTED BY A MAXIMUM OF 200 MILLIMETER OR DAMAGE WILL OCCUR TO THE INTERNAL SEAL.

The CV joint can be removed but the AXLE LINK SHAFT needs to STAY in the case.

The TSB has info for removal of the gearbox but a few pages have info on the axles.
