Just wanted to give a heads up. I have had the front end aligned after the replacement of the front shocks, bushes and mounts. The rubbing has ended except when really, really pouring the car into a turn. I have acquired new front springs and they will go in over the winter and I am going to go through the entire front end, timing chain tensioners and other things while it is in the garage.
Be forewarned that the XK8 is one of the Jaguars that requires downforce on the front suspension for an accurate alignment.
