Thank you all again,the wire to the coolant reservoir was unhooked ,sure enough! the low coolant light is out thank God. So now, I see the ac thermal fuse is blown,and I wonder what caused that. I really need ideas on what I can try to make my sisters xj6 run smooth.I tried new spark plugs. checked timing with my timing light,checked the distributor cap,rotor. I ordered new spark plug wires,distributor cap and rotor. I need help fast, my brother in law, and my sister are coming to pick up the car the first part of May. Mark
It’s designed to blow if the freon is low, thus protecting the compressor. So I suspect the freon is indeed low
In what way is it not sunning smoothly? Rough idle?

IF you already changed all the ingnition parts, fuel supply would be the next logical step to check.
Clogged injector (if applicable), shot carburator (if applcable), faulty pump, dirty filters etc etc…
She should purr like a kitten if everything is ok…
