Rust on wheel arches - What route to take

Today, I cut off the remaining rotted bit behind the bumper.
Gives pause about the horrors that lurk in the space between the body and that sub frame all the way around the rear of the car… I guess I will find more nasty surprises once I remove the tanks and the rear axle assembly.
The side repearters will be deleted of course (the front ones are gone already), so will the silly antenna.

The outer wheel arch lip panel for the Coupe is about 10X the price of the same panel for the 4-door, because it extends all the way to the door. It seems that, given the narrowness of the piece I had to cut, I should be able to get away with using the repair arch from the 4-door. Wish me luck. There are 3 little holes that look clean from the inside of the window well, these will be drilled to remove damaged metal and plug welded.

Thiose look like the simpler puller. Drill ahole. Insert a screw,. Attach the slide hammer. wham repeat. But, the holes hould ewelded closed and ground smooth. Was there a layer of “Bondo”!!!
