[s-type] fitting cd changer

I have a 1999 3 ltr. I want to fit a 6cd changer in the
glove box to supplement the standard existing tape/radio
unit. There are a few cd changers/magazines available on
ebay but before I buy does anyone out there know if the
glove box compartment will be pre-wired and ready for the cd
player to be fitted. If so, is this a simple job to do ?–

The first year of the S-Type here in the US was MY 2000 and the CD
changer was in the ‘glove-box’. The CD harness connector was taped
to a main harness and there was also a mount kit to convert the box
to fit the changer. The following year it was mounted in the boot
and the harness plug was moved to there. They are the same units
and have the same plug.
Remove the cubby liner and feel around up above the back of the
glovebox along the round steel tubing for the harness connector
taped to a main wire loom. cut the tape and pull the connector
down. I think I remember it being a white or grey square connector.
The mount kit came with a new cubby liner and 2 steel brackets to
mount the changer. You will probably need to drill holes in the
steel tube for the brackets (not sure about RHD models)
