I recently posted a few messages about the complete failure
of my A/C compressor - and its repair.
Now I notice that my A/C pressures seem strange. On a 90
degree day, at idle, my high side pressure is about 270 and
low side around 45. With the RPM around 1500,the high side
jumps up to around 320 and the low drops down to around
30. This is a good low side pressure and the cold air from
the vents is consistent.
On the other hand, the high side pressure on my 2013 Lexus
is around 160.
My concern is that, even after flushing the system, my
evaporator may be clogged up with metal shavings from the
failed compressor.
So I would be interested in hearing about the A/C pressures
from an S-type that has never had a problem.–
