[s-type] New S Type

Hi,

I’m new to this Group, but Not To Jag-lovers…

I just traded my '98 XJR for a 2003 4.2 ‘S’ Type (only 9200
miles so she’s like new!). So far I’m happy with the trade.

Anything I should be aware of? Tips, Tricks etc are welcome!

The ‘‘S’’ will be my new drive to and from work car… it is
joining my stable:
66 MK10
77 XJC
83 XJ6
86 VDP-XJ6
91 XJS Convertible
93 XJ6

Window regulators go out. Not sure if your overflow tank for the radiator is the same
style but these go out as well.

Your engine should be the good version, but the transmission should have the
newest upgraded software.

Other than the window regulator mine has been excellent and have over 70,000
miles.

Wow! Nice stable of Jags! I purchased my 2003 S-Type V8 in
Sept. 05. It had 44K and a year later it’s at 50K. I drive
it daily, but work is not far away.

So far it has been a great car. No mechanical problems.–
