The rear nearside door lock of my 2000cc 3 litre S type will not
unlock. Either with the Fob,Key or door handle. Anyone have any
suggestions. Can I get the door trim off with the door closed?
Many thanks.–

Managed to get the door panel off with the door shut. Anyone know
how to manually release the lock.–

If you can’t open the door here is the procedure.
Remove interior door handle cover and panel (Can be doe ne with
door closed)
Remove bolt holding interior handle in place
Locate hole and remove exterior fwd door handle bolt
Remove exterior door handle trim and rear bolt.
Remove rear window lower clamp (3 nuts)
Enlarge access hole to allow disconnection of actuator plug.
Check new lock works ok electrically (This removes any doubt
that the actuator has failed electrically)
8 Break away all plastic covers and components and metal linkages
around lock.
You will be left with a metal plate which covers the door lock.
Probe around the outside edges of the plate until you locate a
cam that when moved releases the door.
Unscrew the 3 retaining bolts and remove what is left of the
lock.
A nightmare of a job but it can be done !!!–
