Kapanzhipete,

If you have a 4.0 Liter V-8 you use a camshaft positioner and a
crankshaft positioner to set the camshaft timing. First you remove
the crankshaft position indicator and insert the crankshaft
positioner into the crankshaft positioner indicator hole in the
transmission housing. Make sure that the crankshaft positioner
slips into the hole in the flywheel, because the flywheel is a thin
piece of metal and it will bend if the alignment is incorrect. Then
you line up the camshafts by slacking off the sprocket bolts and
making sure that the flats are dead level by using a camshaft
positioner. The camshaft positioners hold the camshafts in place
while you torque down the camshaft sprocket bolts. The XK-8 forum
has a very helpful article on this subject - Camshaft Tensioners -
The Full Story.
