Hi Wes,

I went through this problem last year and couldn’t find anything that
gave enough clearance to the radiator, including for the early XJ6
models that were recommended by many people … I didn’t want to put on
a used part from a breaker’s in case I was stranded miles from home. Again.

My car’s a driver, not a Concours entrant, so I finished up installing a
modern electric fan with custom built clutch mount. I can possibly
arrange to have similar mounts made if there’s any interest, it was a
reasonable price.

Cheers, Alan–

I have a series 1 XJ6 fan clutch on mine, installed back in the
early 90’s, and it functions OK.–
